My ancient Chevy Cobalt had a wheel bearing go out. I brought it in and they fixed it. I thought the price was high, but that they fixed the problem with decent service. A day or two later I noticed my wipers blades weren't behaving right. It turned out there was a broken wiper linkage that I didn't think was damaged prior to bringing it into the shop. It doesn't make sense to break a wiper linkage while repairing a bad wheel bearing. I called ahead and they said they couldn't have broken it, but would assess the problem. They called me after bringing it in, they said it looked corroded and it died of natural causes. There's a photo that shows the broken plastic. So I thought maybe it was coincidence, this car is old and it would be random to break the wiper linkage. Next they quoted me a price to fix it. They said it would be over $900. I thought that price was openly exploitative, so I said I would do it myself. I didn't bother to get a detailed parts and labor on the quoted price, I just wanted out. They said because I mentioned doing it myself they would like to return it to me disassembled so that it would be easier for me to install. They mentioned taking it apart was a "tall order." Surprisingly, they said they would charge me to return it to me reassembled. In my opinion it wasn't necessary to disassemble it to diagnose the problem. The wipers went from kind of working to completely absent. Plus they wouldn't return it in the state I brought it without charging money when they were supposed to be looking at the problem on a complimentary basis in case they had a hand in breaking the wiper linkage. I ordered a linkage to fix the wipers at Rockauto.com. It was a DORMAN 602237 for $110+ shipping and tax. Hands on, it only took about me an hour to replace the wiper linkage. I probably spent about an hour or less shopping for the part etc. Harlem and Division did return parts of the wiper assembly labeled and bagged to make it easier to install. Nothing about this job was a "tall order." I'm glad I saved myself about $800 on fixing my wipers rather than have them repaired at Harlem and Division Auto.

Read all the reviews before you go here I wish I would’ve gone through all of them. Ridiculously high price car inspection. They wanted to charge me $950 to inspect the car and put a battery in a 2012 Mercedes. So they gave me a discount and only charge me $825. Bob the owner if you get into it with him will explain how high his taxes are like. It’s your fault.

These folks up charge like no other mechanic shop I have ever experienced. They made mention of plenty of services on the receipt that I know for a FACT they did not complete on my vehicle. Take your business elsewhere and save your money. Spent a couple dollars shy of $400 for the world worst inspection.

I’ve been a regular customer for years and it’s hard to find mechanics who are as transparent and on top of it as this team. Highly recommend!

I am so happy to have found Bob. I have been looking for a real mechanic for years who is responsive and treats me like an intelligent human. I know enough about cars to know when I'm being ripped off, and am so tired of the 'technicians' at most places who really don't understand how vehicles operate. Bob thoughtfully assessed the issue, fixed what needed fixing quickly and kept me informed of everything along the way. Just as it should be.
