My wife and I live and work in Skokie. This shop is a short ride from home and a walk to our office. We have been bringing our cars here for repairs and maintenance for over 20 years. It is about time I express my appreciation. Tim and his son Bobby run this shop. They are both very experienced mechanics. They are friendly and accommodating and their prices are reasonable. They are honest in recommending what repairs are needed and what can be postponed. For example, my wife's car has a very slow power steering fluid leak. Tim has recommended simply topping off the fluid periodically. And they don't even charge her for this. I have referred other employees from our office who now also use them. I have never had an unsatisfactory experience and highly recommend them.

Old Orchard Shell deserves a million stars for keeping my car alive!!!!! I have a chronic oil eater of a Subaru that’s been actively trying to die on me for years. I found this shop a couple of years ago when I got a flat tire at work and I have been a loyal customer since then. As a family run business, these folks stay true to their word with their honesty, thoughtfulness, and affordable prices. I don’t make much money and can’t afford to buy a new or used car in this market right now, so having Bobby and Tim in my corner has given me the piece of mind in knowing that whatever problems I have I can come to them and leave with a running car and peace of mind. Stop wasting your time looking for a mechanic you found your people!!!!

Bobby, their mechanic is a beautiful soul. They offered to help after our overheating Subaru caught their attention. They deserves more than a good review. Bobby, helped us get back on the road, and didn't charge us for his recommendation. I will be back to repay him but the least I can do now is to give them a good review. Made my day!
