Called to simply get my oil changed and tires filled - told me to drop it off in the morning but no one was there so had to drop my key and write what I wanted done. Noted only oil change and tires and noted I was aware as to why the check engine light was on. I picked up my car and they ran diagnostics, when I did not request that, and it was $200 aside from anything pertaining to the oil change. Frustrated that this was not ran by me as I would have declined and specified again what I needed done. Wouldn’t really explain why this was done or give any information why the charge was so high.

DO NOT COME HERE. I have been a customer of Suburban Automotive for about 5 - 7 years, but after yesterday, I will never return. I dropped my car off for an oil change, and when they called me after looking at my car, they said I needed approximately $900 of repairs, including a new sway bar and a tire rotation. I immediately knew something was off, as I had gotten new tires only 2-3 months ago, and thus, there would be no need for a tire rotation. I gave them the go ahead to do an oil change and a new air and cabin filters, but I wanted to get a second opinion on the rest. When I picked up my car, they had charged me $250 for an oil change and 2 new filters, which is absolutely outrageous. Today, I went to another mechanic for a 2nd opinion, who actually pulled me into the garage to show me that there was no issue with the sway bar that Suburban Automotive claimed was on the verge of breaking on the right side. This experience is similar to what other reviewers have said on Yelp: while this shop was trustworthy in the past, they have shifted to ripping customers off. If this is how you treat loyal customers, then you simply don't deserve to have any.

We've been using Suburban Automotive for almost 5 years now and there are not even words to describe how happy I am with them. I would recommend this shop to anyone I know without hesitation. Danny is honest, hardworking, helpful, thoughtful and I can't imagine taking my car to another mechanic. His prices are reasonable and his team is polite and kind. He goes out of his way to help us when we need it. I trust him 100% with our cars and he will have our business for life. THANKS!!!!!!!!!!

Needed the solenoid replaced in my transmission. I had already got my vehicle diagnosed and had the transmission code. Called to get a price quote. The man that answered was rude. He didn't want to provide a quote and said it would $200 just to look at it. After he said the amount he just hung up. I wouldn't dare do business with this company.

This shop is owned and run by true professionals that do good honest work. Unlike the dealership. Highly recommend having your car worked on here. Ive had my volvo xc90 serviced multiple times
