I had a flat tire around the block from Wilmette Auto Care. It was completely flat when I got into my car. I couldn't drive it.. The customer service was excellent. I asked if they have an electric pump for me to borrow to drive to the shop. They filled up some kind of tank and I was able to put enough air in my tire to drive around the block to the shop. The price is very reasonable to fix a flat. I totally forgot that I should rotate my tires after the car is down from the jack (or the lift?). They got it up and rotate them. Excellent service!

This smart owner, the ultimate car guy, runs a top notch business. He knows so much about cars and it shows. He also hires talented mechanics. I'm so happy I found him. I've had terrible luck with chain mechanics because results are so unpredictable! Those days are over.

My car was making a whistling noise then one of my check engine lights came on. I pulled into Wilmette Auto Care after they closed. David kindly helped me after hours! He said he would evaluate my car and get back to me the following day. In the meantime, the car dealership called and told me the most likely problem and they could fix it the following week. The dealership warned me about auto shops trying to sell me products or services that I did not need and to beware. David called me the next morning, diagnosed the problem (same as what the dealership suggested) and that he would fix it by the end of the day! He also charged me much less than the dealership. Wow! I saved so much time, money and I gained so much peace of mind having a safe car. He was so honest, accommodating and went above and beyond to help me. I highly recommend Wilmette Auto Care and will go back here for any future needs.

I've heard a lot of good things about this place so I gave it a try. I was very impressed with the service, honesty, and quick turn around. I have a car notorious for needing frequent attention and the car, unbeknownst to the mechanic, the car had received a lot of care recently. He noted the condition of the car honestly and told me the car needed nothing more done - it is very comforting to find a mechanic like this so close. I'll be using Wilmette Auto Care again.
